The Marcos and Diana Abbott Fund was created to enable people who are interested in the work of SEUT to support the students being trained in our seminary to enter the ministry.
Mark and Diane Abbott are a North American couple who served in the SEUT (United Evangelical Seminary) from 1996 until 2014. Mark was a professor and Academic Dean, and Diane worked in the Administrative Offices and as chapel musician.
After 18 years of service, they returned to the United States. To continue supporting the work of SEUT, they created a fund through the United Methodist Church. Churches, institutions and individuals have contributed to it. In January 2017, the fund totalled $22,000. The interest generated from this fund is set aside for economic support of SEUT students.
Mark and Diane believe in the great potential of our students and in the need to prepare them, spiritually and academically, for service as church pastors and leaders.
